Making Hybrid Events More Than a Virtual Fly on the Wall

Streaming with Remote Guests

This workshop will focus on incorporating remote guests into live productions. An intermediate familiarity with live streaming and video conferencing is suggested. Topics will include audio mixes, video encoding and delivery methods, general conferencing software like Teams and Zoom, and some manufacturer-specific platforms (examples may include DV Cloud from Datavideo and Air Control from LiveU). Some basic production philosophy will be discussed, and with a little luck, we will include some remote guests in the lab.

Using NDI Bridge for Truly Remote Video Production

Using NDI bridge, a remotely located producer can control all aspects of video production, live, staying in NDI end-to-end. Any NDI® camera can be your NDI® camera.

In this session, we’ll explore how NDI® bridge works, and the new application possibilities it unlocks for physically dispersed video production teams. We’ll examine use cases for both “bridge mode,” and “local mode,” and explore network and device compatibility requirements for deployments of various scale, resolution, and complexity.
